Workforce Management is hiring a Production Manager for our client in Plant City. This is a direct hire for a company that is rapidly expanding materials management company, with patented and proprietary materials optimization and alternative fuels technology.
The Company is seeking an aggressive, forward-thinking, and highly motivated candidate to work in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: $70-$75k Shift: Split shift (mornings and evening)
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
Experience leading a large team in a production environment
Ability to multitask and manage a changing workload
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
5S or Six Sigma is needed
Five years’ experience as a proven manager
5S Lean is a plus
Job Duties
Motivating, supporting, and providing guidance to production staff
Ensuring all safety and environmental standards are met within company guidelines
Communicating regularly with upper management regarding problems or issues impacting production
Evaluating machine resources to ensure continued production and minimal downtime
Establishing a balance between increased productivity and reduced costs of manufacturing operations
Ensuring adequate scheduling of staff
Working with General manager in setting productivity goals for the manufacturing team
Organize and maintain records and reports related to shipping and receiving, customer service logs and safety records to help track performance data
Work with the Logistics team to resolve customer concerns relating to transportation and other logistical issues.
Assist with tracking of trailer assets on a real-time basis
Perform Data Entry
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, most importantly Outlook and Excel
The position’s goals, objectives and duties will likely evolve as the business expands
Ensuring adequate scheduling of staff
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS FOR THIS POSITION:
Reviews daily status with the General Manager – Ensuring that all efficiencies are met and achieved according to the goals that are set.
Participates in meetings with the General Manager and Operations team regarding new and existing projects.
Trains, monitors, and provide improvement guidance to teams.
Provides accurate reports and information regarding production assignments.
Ability to coach and motivate employees.
REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as productions reports, sales reports, operating instructions.
Ability to write reports and correspondence.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and employees of the organization and to speak effectively before groups of customers.
Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
